Stephanie J. Gold
Stephanie J. Gold is a partner in the law firm Hogan & Hartson LLP. Her practice focuses on representation of colleges, universities, post-secondary institutions, education associations, distance education firms, student loan organizations, and investors in education-related companies. Ms. Gold has represented education clients in matters related to federal financial assistance, student financial aid, privacy, accreditation, student discipline, campus crime, military recruiting, research activity, state education licensure, civil rights, and foreign students.
Ms. Gold received an A.B., with honors, from Brown University. She received her J.D. from University of Michigan Law School where she was editor in chief of the University of Michigan Journal of Law Reform. After law school, Ms. Gold served as a law clerk to The Honorable Cornelia G. Kennedy of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Ms. Gold is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys, the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, and the National Association of College and University Business Officers.
