Peter G. Land
Peter G. Land is a partner in the Chicago law firm of Babbitt, Land, Silverstein & Warner LLP, which concentrates in the representation of colleges and universities. His firm’s clients include a wide array of Midwestern educational institutions, ranging from liberal arts colleges to major research institutions and their accompanying medical schools and medical centers. Mr. Land graduated with honors from DePauw University and Northwestern University School of Law, where he served as an Associate Editor of the Law Review.
For the past 12 years, Mr. Land has focused upon the representation and counseling of colleges and universities in tenure disputes, school and program closings, employment discrimination cases, and other sensitive matters. He has also worked on an interim basis in the general counsel’s office at two major Chicago universities. Mr. Land is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys and has spoken at seminars addressing a variety of liability issues facing college and universities.
